Elastomeric Foam — Thermal, Acoustic & Sealing Solutions
kristoFOAM carries a wide range of elastomeric foams manufactured from non-metallic materials including EPDM, NBR, Neoprene, PVC/NBR, Vinyl Nitrile, Nitrile Urethane, and Epichlorohydrin. ASTM D1056 & UL94 compliant materials available with rubber and acrylic based adhesive backing, as die-cut parts, sheets, or rolled goods.
Elastomeric Foam Engineered for Critical Sealing Applications
Elastomeric foams closed-cell structure gives them excellent resistance to moisture, UV, and a wide range of chemicals making them the material of choice for automotive gasketing and general industrial sealing. kristoFOAM supplies elastomeric foams in sheets, rolls, and die-cut parts, with pressure-sensitive adhesive backing options for fast, reliable installation.

Eight Elastomeric Foam Families
From general-purpose EPDM to oil-resistant NBR and flame-rated Neoprene, kristoFOAM stocks and fabricates the full range of elastomeric foam types for your critical sealing requirements.
EPDM Foam
The most widely used elastomeric foam for outdoor and HVAC sealing. EPDM offers exceptional resistance to UV, ozone, weathering, and moisture making it the go-to choice for window and door sealing, roofing, and building envelope applications.
- UV & ozone resistance
- Excellent weathering performance
- HVAC duct & window sealing
- Low water absorption
- Good compression set
Crushed EPDM
EPT is a crushed-cell variant of EPDM foam that combines the chemical resistance of EPDM with a softer, more conformable texture. Ideal for irregular surface sealing and low-closure-force gasket applications.
- Soft, conformable texture
- Low closure force
- Irregular surface sealing
- EPDM chemical resistance
- Automotive & building gaskets
PVC / NBR Foam
A popular blend combining the flame resistance of PVC with the oil and fuel resistance of NBR. Widely used in HVAC thermal insulation, refrigeration, and automotive applications requiring both fire performance and hydrocarbon resistance.
- Excellent thermal insulation
- Flame resistant
- Oil & refrigerant resistance
- Low thermal conductivity
- HVAC pipe insulation
NBR Foam
NBR foam is the premier choice for oil, fuel, and hydrocarbon sealing applications. Its outstanding resistance to petroleum-based fluids makes it essential in automotive, aerospace, and industrial environments where oil contact is unavoidable.
- Excellent oil & fuel resistance
- Hydrocarbon sealing
- Automotive & aerospace gaskets
- Good abrasion resistance
- Wide density range
Vinyl Nitrile Foam
Vinyl nitrile foam offers a balanced combination of oil resistance, low flammability, and good thermal properties. Commonly specified for aircraft thermal and acoustic insulation, marine applications, and general-purpose gasketing.
- Aerospace thermal & acoustic use
- Low flammability
- Oil resistant
- Lightweight
- Aviation & marine applications
Neoprene Foam (CR)
Neoprene is a classic multipurpose elastomeric foam offering excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, and moderate oil exposure, combined with good flame resistance. A reliable choice for marine, HVAC, and outdoor sealing applications.
- Good oil & weather resistance
- UL94 flame options
- Marine & outdoor sealing
- Excellent mechanical properties
- Moderate chemical resistance
Impregnated Urethane Foam
An open-cell, flexible polyurethane foam impregnated with a polyacrylate compound. Primarily used in Automotive and Industrial applications, providing a viscoelastic gasket for thermal and sound insulation, vibration damping, and sealing against drafts, moisture, and dust.
- High conformability & sealing
- Improved durability
- Acoustic Damping
- Weather & environmental protection
- Non-conductive
Epichlorohydrin Foam
Epichlorohydrin foam delivers exceptional resistance to ozone, UV, weathering, and a broad range of fuels and oils with better low-temperature flexibility than NBR. Ideal for demanding automotive fuel system sealing, refrigeration, and outdoor electrical enclosure gaskets.
- Superior ozone & UV resistance
- Fuel & oil sealing
- Low-temperature flexibility
- Automotive fuel systems
- Outdoor electrical sealing
